Small Businesses Show Major Improvements Economically

While looking through the Middletown Journal I stumbled across an article that stated “Small businesses take lead role in recovery.” That was something that I actually wanted to read more into. With the economy in the state that it is in any sign of relief makes everyone take a deep breath. Throughout the course of American history it has been proven that when the small businesses start to pick up, the bigger businesses will follow. According to the article (http://www.middletownjournal.com/news/middletown-business-news/small-businesses-take-lead-role-in-recovery-1327378.html#.TzfYpw-djv4.email) Small businesses have added more jobs in January alone than any of the larger companies. The article also states that this is because “local small and medium-sized business owners say they have waited to see strong demand before they felt comfortable hiring and are more cautious not to overhire and be forced to layoff workers only months later.” What I took from that is that most small businesses at least on a local scale won’t hire more employees unless they need them permanently; thus providing jobs for workers, lowering the unemployment rate.

The part about this article that I found most interesting was the quote from Jim Russell, Cincinnati area regional investment director and senior vice president, U.S. Bank Wealth Management. It said “Large companies usually have the ability to buy large equipment and to some extent, OUTSOURCE their jobs to India or China….. a small company does not have flexibility in that way.” I have written various different blogs about the benefits of insourcing over outsourcing; and it is a pretty common theory throughout the United States that we would rather have the jobs here at home.

I think the main point to take away from this is that now that the local small businesses are doing better; there is hope for an economic turnaround here in the near future.

Us vs. Competition

Us vs. Competition

On my blog on Monday you may have seen the picture that I posted of a comparison between one of our wraps, and some of our competitions. That particular picture was of a flyer we sent out in some emails a few years back. It received mostly positive, but also negative feedback. The only negative feedback we received were from a few people that thought it wasn’t right that we would call out another business in the way we did. In the near future I have in the works a video I am making for Youtube that will do exactly what that flyer does. I want to give you 2 of the main reasons as to why we do show our work next to our competitors.

We don’t do it to put others work down. When we make flyers, videos, or any kind of advertising like this, our purpose is not to showcase our art. In fact, on the flyer picture, you can barely tell what the vehicle wrap is (what the design is.) We do this because we want to show you the difference in instillation. There are many great graphic artists in the industry, there are fewer great installers, and even fewer companies that can do both.
We want you to be sure about your vehicle wrap before you buy it. I have talked before about why some people are hesitant to invest in a wrap (http://www.paradisegraphix.com/pages/blog/entry/44/ .) Another reason is because people have seen wraps that were poorly installed before. We want you to feel comfortable with your wrap instillation 100% before we even start it. We know that most people care a lot about their vehicles (we do too.) We want you to trust us not only to treat your vehicle with care, but to install a wrap that you are ecstatic about. We want you to see that we won’t install a wrap that looks bad. We use the minimum amount of seams, and most people believe that our wraps are actually painted.

All in all, we show these pictures to make you feel comfortable. We want you to know before you even drop your vehicle off, just what you are expecting. We won’t let your vehicle leave our shop until it is perfect. We settle for nothing less. This is a well debated subject throughout the business world. The goal for almost every business is to grow and expand to make themself as big as possible. Sometimes however; expanding can have a negative effect on your business. Sometimes big business owners and managers get so caught up in making themselves more and more wealthy; that they lose sight of what is important. The customer’s needs should always come first.

Small businesses have a serious advantage when it comes to pleasing each customer individually. Super Bowl XLVI

Super Bowl XLVI

Super bowl 46 is only a few short hours away. Everyone is busy preparing for their parties and game day festivities (avoid going to the grocery store at all cost.) I was doing some research this morning on the super bowl (checking out statistics and trying to decide which team to go for tonight.) I am a Steelers fan, and proud of it. Looking at Tom Brady’s history and the rest of the team’s glory, I do believe that the Patriots will probably pull off a W tonight. However; I would like to see Eli Manning and the Giants win this one today. I believe that being in the house his brother helped build might help him mentally with this game. Either way about it; I think this game is going to be a very interesting one worth watching.

When I was doing my research I found an interesting blog post that had 50 super bowl facts in it.
